Emergency vehicles were seen moving to the collision site, DC, on Wednesday night (29). An American Airlines aircraft with 60 passengers and four crew crashed into the Potomac River after colliding with a helicopter.

Sarah Fishel, who lives in a condominium near the Ronald Reagan National Airport of Washington, told CNN, who heard high sirens and started recording around 9:10 pm, east US time.

“I ran to the roof and immediately saw the answer,” says Sarah.

“We heard helicopters all day living here, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that helicopters are in airspace. I don’t know how this could happen, ”he concludes.

Fishel stated that the answer to the accident was “almost instantly.”

The accident

In a statement, the Federal Aviation Administration said the accident happened while the aircraft approached the track.

The institution itself suspended flights at Reagan National Airport after the crash of the plane.

The Fire Department and the DC Medical Emergency Service have confirmed that the aircraft has fallen into the river and that fire boats are on site. The plane was American Airlines flight 5342 and was a PSA Airlines bombardier CRJ700 regional jet. He departed from Wichita, Kansas, on Wednesday.
