Bahia and Vitória prepare for a historical confrontation. This Saturday (1st), tricolors and red-blacks will face in BA-VI of 500. Fonte Nova will be the place of the duel, at 16h, for the 6th round of the Bahia Championship. Despite the 94 years of rivalry, only seven different stadiums received the classic. Four of them in Salvador: Campo da Graça, Fonte Nova, Barradão and Pituaçu. >
The extinct field of grace was the home of Bahian football in the past. The site received the first BA-VI in April 1932, when Bahia and Vitória do not yet have the rivalry of today. Newly founded, Tricolor took the best and won by 3-0 by the beginning tournament.>

Away from the capital, three interior stadiums were the scene of the confrontation between tricolor and red-blacks. The Princess Jewel, in Feira de Santana, leads in number of games, with 5 duels. Already the Edgard Santos Stadium, in Simões Filho, and Mario Pessoa, in Ilhéus, received one game each. >
Interestingly, both in Simões Filho and Ilhéus the classic happened in a friendly way. In 1958, the gates of Mario Pessoa were opened in celebration of the anniversary of the foundation of the city. Bahia won Vitória 2-1 in the festive duel. >

One of the main stadiums in the Bahian interior, the princess jewel received the duo Ba-Vi five times. The first two in 1967, first in friendly and then and by the governor of the state. >
After that, the classic was only again played at Fair in 2006, when Bahia sent its games in the city during Serie C. In 2008, after the tragedy of Fonte Nova, Bahia also adopted the jewel as a home. It was precisely that year that the classic was last disputed outside Salvador. >
