City Hall delivery parking with 2 thousand vacancies in the region of Barradão

The city of Salvador inaugurated, last Wednesday (29), the parking lot of the Socio-Environmental Park of Canabrava. The site has 2,040 vacancies and will also be used by fans of Vitória in team games, increasing the offer of vacancies and reducing traffic jams in the region on days of Leão in Barradão. The equipment is in the implementation phase by municipal management.>

During the delivery, Mayor Bruno Reis also announced the construction of a new road in the Red-Black Stadium region to improve mobility in the localities around the stadium. The road connection will connect Mário Sérgio Pontes de Paiva Avenue to Barradão, improving the flow of vehicles and pedestrians in the Canabrava region.>

“Here, in this area, we definitely buried the old landfill of Salvador. Now we have the Canabrava Sports Environmental Park. Today we deliver part of it with the parking lot. We will surround the whole park, which will have room for environmentalists to conduct studies and will also have a sports area. As a counterpart of this partnership, Vitória will be responsible for the maintenance and supervision of the park, ”said Bruno Reis.>

The mayor also pointed out that parking will improve mobility in the region on Vitória’s games, both for fans and residents and people who move around Barradão. “Other interventions have already been carried out and there is more to come, but this is the most important mobility work, because it will significantly help resolve traffic jams for the crowd that has cheered for Vitória,” he said.>

The implementation of the parking lot had a series of interventions, including earthmoving, implementation of concrete tours, asphalt pavement, construction of closing wall along the place, as well as drainage and lighting services.>>

Also attending the solemnity were the municipal secretaries of the Civil House, Luiz Carreira; of the infrastructure, Francisco Torreão; and sustainability and resilience, Ivan Euller; the president of the Mário Leal Ferreira Foundation, Tânia Scofield; the mayor’s private secretary, Igor Dominguez; The president of Vitória, Fábio Mota, among other municipal authorities and club leaders.>
