Dynamo Zagreb was surprised to beat Milan 2-1 in an exciting match for the Champions League, held on Wednesday (29) at Maksimir Stadium. The result marked the first victory of the Croatian club about the Italian giant in the history of the competition.
The game was marked by moments of tension and twists. Martin Baturina opened the scoring for the home owners 18 minutes into the first half, taking advantage of a defensive Milan error. The Italian team got the draw early in the second half with Christian Pulisic, but Marko Pjaca secured Dynamo Zagreb’s victory 15 minutes into the final stage. The match became even more complicated for Milan after Yunus Musah’s expulsion 38 minutes into the first half.
Despite the defeat, the 13th position in the general table with 15 points. Dynamo Zagreb, even with the historic victory, is eliminated from the competition, being in 25th place with 11 points.
