The Minister of Labor, Luiz Marinho, said on Wednesday, 29, that the government is not discussing moving the limits for granting private payroll loans. Today, the private worker can give up to 10% of FGTS as a guarantee for this type of loan.
Marinho spoke to journalists at the Planalto Palace alongside Finance Minister Fernando Haddad and Febraban president Isaac Sidney. They have announced that the government will send to Congress a project-it seems that it will be a provisional measure-to allow the use of e-social information to grant private payroll loans.
Marinho said the e-Social platform will integrate banks and workers. Today, private payroll loans is only available to workers whose companies have agreements with banks. According to the government, this change will facilitate the granting of credit.
The minister also said that the measures will be sent to Congress in February. The statements came after a meeting of President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva with the ministers and representatives of the private banks.
