Petista thanked the “kindness and cordiality” of the questions after interview in the new format created by Secom Minister Sidônio Palmeira
The President (PT) said on Thursday (30.Jan.2025) that the journalists who asked him questions in an interview were “kind” and will scold their editors. At the end of the conversation with the press organized by Secom (Secretariat of Social Communication of the Presidency), Lula thanked the cordiality of the questions, but said he also likes to be “tight” – the term used when reporters ask uncomfortable questions to authority.
At the inauguration of Lula’s new press conference format, already designed under the command of Sidônio Palmeira, new head of Secom, journalists who follow the Planalto Palace daily were invited to ask 10 questions for the petista.
“I am very grateful for the kindness of the questions. It’s funny, there are people who think the press is aggressive, but you were so kind and cordial that I think you will be rebuked by your editors. “Why didn’t you squeeze, because you didn’t do the math.” But I also like tightness. The minister of, Sidônio Palmeira, said that the president will continue to be the protagonist of the government’s new communication strategy, with the help of the ministers.
