One of the men who in 2023 burned the Koran and whose action caused violent protests in several Muslim countries was shot dead in Stockholm, Sweden, Swedish press revealed Thursday.
Police confirmed that Salwan Momika was shot dead on Wednesday night in a Stockholm suburb. According to several Swedish tabloids, Momika was hit with two shots when he was directly on his social networks.

However, Momika eventually received a new provisional authorization, since his deportation for Iraq could not be executed for security reasons.
