The Association of Educators asks to cancel the provision of limiting the use of mobile phones by teachers to transmit information and crisis communication more efficiently.
The Hungarian Ministry of the Interior, which also includes public education, will not cancel the regulation to restrict the use of mobile phones in schools or last week’s bombings. This was reported on Thursday for Népszava on Thursday, informs TASR newsletter in Budapest.
Last Friday (January 24), the Democratic Trade Union of Educators (PDSZ) addressed Prime Minister Viktor Orbán a statement in connection with bomb threats the previous day (23.1) sent by e -mail to three hundred schools. Among other things, the Union Organization in the document asked to cancel the provision of limiting the use of mobile phones by teachers in order to ensure rapid and efficient transmission of information and measures at a time of threat. She also asked to withdraw the ban on the use of mobile phones by pupils in such cases so that their parents could call them.
According to the Ministry’s reasoning, the school must take care of the supervision of children and the notification of parents. It is not the responsibility of the pupil and, moreover, the returning of stored mobile phones to children in such an emergency situation would unreasonably slow the evacuation of schools. Teachers can use their phones for educational purposes, in their case the law limits only private use, the ministry added.
Last Thursday morning, hundreds of Hungarian schools canceled teaching for a bomb threat they received by e -mail from an unknown address. This address was registered on the Russian Yandex portal and later on the porn highways, the server 444.hu found in this context. After searching 313 institutions, the police finally concluded that the threat was not real.
