The mayor of Sorocaba, Rodrigo Manga, invited himself to join the party to dispute the government of São Paulo in 2026. Manga, currently at Republicans and conservative, was reelected last year to the command of the Interior City.
He talked on Wednesday (29) with the leader, the party, which has no moment of restructuring.
“We are a Brazilian party. With conservative ideals, but without right or left extremisms,” he said.
Manga said he received the invitation with satisfaction, but did not answer. “We realize that the recognition of our work by the Sorocaban people and the city of Sorocaba has been going beyond the limits of the city and arrived far away,” he said.
The PRTB has been trying to join other leaders in the state and in the country. Another target of the caption is former Mayor Guti of Guarulhos, today on the PSD.
