In Saudi Arabia, the construction of Jeddah Tower was resumed-the highest skyscraper in the world.
The completion of the tower is planned for the year 2028, reported Dezeen, reading the company Kingdom Holding Company.
The scratch will be located 32 kilometers north of the city of Jeddah. It will be 1.007 meters high – 179 meters more than Burj Khalifa in Dubai. The Jeddah Tower project was carried out by the Adrian Smith + Gill Gordon Architecture studio in Chicago.
The architects call the tower “a global symbol of ambition and progress”. The construction started in 2013, but it was stopped in 2018 – until then, the building had already reached 63 floors.
In January, the builders started work on the 64th floor. The developer said they intend to complete one floor every four days.
In the future, Jeddah Tower will host a hotel Four Seasons, apartments and offices. On the 157 floor, the highest observation point in the world will be opened.
Saudi Arabia implements many ambitious projects. In the country the city of the future is built, Saudi Vision 2030, known in the media as the “mirrored line”.
The city will consist of two long, completely reflective buildings on the outside, located parallel to each other. The declared height of the skillet is 490 meters, and the length-120 kilometers.
