Candidate for presidency of the House, deputy is in favor of more transparency in the transfer of amendments, but against action that suspended them
The federal deputy (Novo-RS) said this Wednesday (29.jan.2025) that it is necessary “Put a brake on the STF [Supremo Tribunal Federal]” as to the monocratic decisions of the Court. In an interview with Poder360the candidate for the presidency of the House of Representatives argued that the PEC that intends to limit the device to be guided soon.
Van Hattem indicated that the need to combat corruption will be one of its priorities if elected. The deputy defended more transparency in the allocation of amendments, but criticized the decision of Minister Flávio Dino of suspending the payment of appeals through an injunction (provisional).
“The PEC of monocratic decisions needs to be guided soon. The special commission needs to work on this subject and it is necessary to put a brake to the Supreme Court. We are living today a moment of absolute anomaly, with power loving over the other and the Legislative Power, which is the largest of all powers, is smaller than the other two. […] We have to replace the Federal Supreme Court in its constitutional place ”these.
In August 2024, Minister Flávio Dino the payment of amendments to the budget proposed by deputies and senators and who has an imposing execution, requiring greater transparency on the application of resources. The monocratic decision was endorsed by the other STF ministers.

Monocratic decisions are the subject of dispute between Legislative and Judiciary. The opposition in the House of Representatives two proposals to limit the actions of STF ministers. They are:

The texts were approved at the CCJ (Constitution and Justice Commission) on October 9 and caused tension between the Legislature, Executive and Judiciary.
