The camera video of the panel of a car obtained by CNN It shows the moment when the American Airlines flight 5342 collided with a US Army Black Hawk helicopter over the Potomac River on Wednesday night (29).
The video was recorded by a family that was at the joint base anacostia -ball when witnessed the collision.
In the video, a bright orange glare is seen in the sky before. Voices in the background can be heard by saying “what happened?”, “Oh my God, oh my God,” before the video is cut.
The family that recorded the video said to CNN who wanted to remain anonymous, for he was “traumatized” by the incident. They said that, adding that they expect the video to “help in the investigation.”
