The British newspaper Financial Times (FT) advanced on Friday that China is building west of the capital, a military complex 10 times larger than the Pentagon, the US Department of Defense.
According to satellite images and intelligence analyzes released by the newspaper, the works began in 2024, about 30 kilometers southwest of Beijing and extend through an area of more than six square kilometers, making it the largest center of military command of the world.
The photos also point to the existence of deep ditches in the area, which, according to experts, demonstrate the construction of great reinforced bunkers who can house the Chinese leaders in case of conflict, including a hypothetical nuclear war.
