Chinese Xiaomi and Honor release smartphones in Brazil

A and announced new releases in Brazil on Thursday (30.jan.2025), at events held in São Paulo. Honor presented its entry into the Brazilian market with the Magic6 Lite smartphones and the folding Magic V3, as well as tablets, wireless headphones and smart watches. Already Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 14 line, which includes 4 versions with new features in cameras and artificial intelligence.

Honor, separated from Huawei in 2020, will have its products distributed by DL, also responsible for Xiaomi in the country. The company plans initial presence in 1,000 points of sale and e-commerce platforms. Device prices range from R $ 1,399.99 for the Honor X6B Plus entry model to R $ 4,499.99 for Magic6 Lite. The magic operating system, based on Android, allows images to send to other applications without opening them. Ultra Bounce 2.0 technology offers resistance to falls up to 2 meters, and silicon-carbon technology has been incorporated into batteries.

The Redmi Note 14 line of Xiaomi will be marketed in 4G, standard, Pro and Pro+versions, with prices between $ 2,499 and $ 5,999. The Pro+ model has a 200 MP camera, IP68 water resistance certification and a fast loading system of 120 W. Appliances have optical stabilization, editing functions with artificial intelligence and greater protection against water and scratches. The company has maintained the 4G version as part of its market strategy.

Tests indicated that the Redmi Note 14 AMOLED screen has 120 Hz update rate. The device’s multitasking performance has been evaluated, as well as cameras design and the amount of preinstalled applications. The quality of the photos was analyzed under different light conditions.
