Distributors’ diesel sales in Brazil grew 2.7% in 2024 compared to 2023, to a record of 67.26 billion liters, according to data published by the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) on Thursday ( 30).
Gasoline sales, in turn, retreated 4% by 2024 compared to the previous year, to 44.2 billion liters, amid a loss of competitiveness versus hydrated ethanol, its direct bombs competitor.
Thus, biofuel sales by distributors fired 33.4% in 2024 compared to the previous year to 21.65 billion liters.
