A Globo on Friday (31/1) closed a transmission agreement with the clubs that are part of the Liga Strong Union (LFU). Thus, the station will have rights to pass, on averages, five matches on rounds of the teams that are part of the group, four of which will be exclusive to the Globo channels. The deal is worth until 2029.
In March last year, the station had already closed agreement to display the matches of the Brazilian Football League, the Libra.
Adding the rights acquired with LFU and Libra, Globo and its channels will be entitled to display 342 of the 380 matches of the Brazilian Championship 2025. Of these, 304 will be exclusive.
The initial idea of the clubs was to found a league that was able to organize Series A and B of Brazilian football. However, due to disagreements, the groups were divided into two: Liga Forte Union and Brazilian Football League (Libra).

In total, LFU has transmission rights agreements with:
- Globo: average of 5 games per round (4 exclusive);
- Amazon (streaming): 1 game per round
- Record (open TV): 1 game per round
- YouTube (streaming): 1 game per round
LFU revenues with transmission rights should reach R $ 1.7 billion per year, which represents a 70% growth compared to what teams received by 2024.

Brazilian Football League teams (Libra)
Founded in May 2022. In March 2024, he closed an agreement with Globo for the group’s games. The deal is also valid until 2029 and its value would be 1.17 billion per year for open and closed TV rights.
In addition, the contract with Globo also provides for the transfer of 40% of the net revenue generated by the sale of PPV packages.
