Starting salary of basic education professionals becomes R $ 4,867.77; Change is valid already in 2025
The Minister of Education, signed on the night of this Thursday (30.Jan.2025) Ordinance 77, which defines the salary increase of the teachers’ floor. The text will be published in the DOU (Official Gazette) on Friday (31.jan.2025). With the readjustment, the base salary of professionals in the basic education network becomes R $ 4,867.77.
Change represents a 6.27% increase In the previous salary, which was R $ 4,580. It is valid in 2025 and benefits professionals who work on the 40 -hour week.
The teachers’ salary readjustment is foreseen in the , 2008, also known as Law in Teaching. The text determines that there is the annual salary increase of teachers in January.
To date, MEC has not reported an estimate of how much the impact of the readjustment on public accounts will be.
