Six suspects were arrested during an operation of the Bahia Civil Police, in partnership with the Military Police, on the morning of Friday (31) in Salvador. About 160 security agents operate in the Northeast Complex of Amaralinawhich brings together four neighborhoods of the Bahian capital.
During the operation at dawn, a family was taken hostage indoors by the suspects, who were arrested after negotiation with Bope. The victims were released without injury.
The occurrence began when agents, from Operation Northeast in peace, found armed men in the locality. Upon noticing the presence of the police, there was exchange of fire.
The suspects fled and broke into the house where the six victims were. The action ended with the arrest of the men, with them were seized 17 kg of drugs and four pistols.
According to police, agents follow the work in an attempt to serve 12 arrest warrants.
