The Globo Group has signed a five -year contract with League Forte União (LFU) to display the Brasileirão games of this year of the teams that make up the block. The deal was aligned for weeks and was officially on Friday.
LFU has negotiated the third and final package of games and will get $ 1.7 billion a year, adding the sale of the rights to transmit from other matches to Record and YouTube (Cazétv) and Amazon Prime Video. There was a considerable increase of 55%, as the rights of clubs belonging to LFU were worth R $ 1.1 billion in 2024.
The agreement prevents premiere, the pay-per-View service that has existed since 1997, is emptied, and turbines the station’s offering offering, which will display the duels as the teams of the teams that make up the Libra on open TV and SporTV, and the confrontations of the teams that are part of LFU in Premiere. Pay-per-View now showing nine of the ten matches per round. You just can’t broadcast the duel displayed by Prime Video.
Globo maintains the relevant premiere with the almost complete offer of games per round, in addition to the other four matches per round that can broadcast on open TV and SporTV resulting from the contract that has the clubs of Libra. In addition to Brasileirão, Pay-Per-View shows matches of some state, such as the Carioca Championship and the Gaucho Championship.
Without further packages available for sale, the platforms that will display the Brasileirão this year, the first edition with fragmented broadcast rights, that is, with matches broadcast on different players, whether open TV, closed, pay-per-view or streaming, and no longer exclusively from Globo.
The match broadcast by Cazétv will be the same as Record, in simultaneous and free broadcasts. The Prime Video package is aimed at paid platforms and subscription channels, and entitles you to 38 matches of the season, one per round, exclusively.

The members of LFU of Serie A São Corinthians, Internacional, Cruzeiro, Fluminense, Vasco, Botafogo, Fortaleza, Youth, Sport, Ceará and Mirassol. Already Athletico-PR, Atletico-GO, Cuiabá, Criciúma, Avaí, Chapecoense, Coritiba, CRB, Vila Nova, Londrina, Tombense, Figueirense, CSA, Operário, Ituano, Novorizontino, Ponte Preta and Botafogo de Ribeirão Preto are in lower divisions.

Globo now has a contract with both groups: Libra and LFU. The first was closed in March last year, lasts five years and is expected to yield R $ 5.5 billion to the block teams. Annually, the broadcaster will pay about $ 1.1 billion, both for open and closed TV on SporTV, to members of the Libra.

The pound is made up of some of the most powerful teams in the country and of the largest crowd, but are in a minority compared to LFU. Today, they are part of the Nine Times Block of Serie A: Palmeiras, Sao Paulo, Santos, Flamengo, Red Bull Bragantino, Atlético-MG, Grêmio, Bahia and Vitória.
LFU holds 60% of the competition’s clashes, with 228 matches in its packages. Already the Libra has 152 duels of the Brasileirão, being four matches per round. It is worth noting that TVs can choose the game they want to broadcast when the team of their block is the home.
For the first time since 1992, Globo will have to divide the rights of the country’s main football championship. The station had already done this with Band and Record in 2006, but always as a licensor of rights.
