Deputy Hugo Motta is the favorite of Arthur Lira’s succession; PSOL and New are the only parties that do not support congressman
The House of Representatives holds this Saturday (1st.Fev.2025), at 16h, the election for the presidency of the house. The deputy (Republicans-PB) to the succession of (PP-AL).

PSOL and the new are the only parties that do not support Motta. The acronyms launched, respectively, the candidacies of the deputies (PSOL-RJ) and (New-RS).
The 513 deputies will also choose the other 10 positions of the Board of Directors. The vote itself will start with at least 257 deputies present, the same number necessary to ensure the 1st round victory and referring to the absolute majority of the house. The vote is secret, face -to -face and performed in an electronic ballot box.
