Lula ministers resume parliamentary mandate to vote today in the election of Congress

In all, ten ministers were dismissed on Friday who have a parliamentary mandate, according to acts published in the Federal Official Gazette (DOU) yesterday

Ministers of the government of President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT) will participate this Saturday, 1st, the vote in the National Congress that will choose the new presidents of the Federal Senate and the Chamber of Deputies. David Alcolumbre (Brazil-AP Union) and Hugo Motta (Republicans-PB) are the favorites to take command of the houses, respectively. The Senate vote will soon be at 10am. In the House, the voting session is scheduled for 16h.

In all, ten ministers were dismissed on Friday who have a parliamentary mandate, according to acts published in the Official Gazette (DOU) yesterday. They asked for a license and should return to the post of ministers next week.

They resume their mandate in the Senate for today’s vote: Carlos Fávaro (PSD-MT) of agriculture; Wellington Dias (PT-PI), social development; and Camilo Santana (PT-CE), from Education.

In the House, participate in the vote: Alexandre Padilha (PT-SP), of institutional relations; Juscelino Filho (Union-MA), of communications; Paulo Teixeira (PT-SP), agrarian development; André Fufuca (PP-MA), of the sport; Silvio Costa Filho (Republicans-PE), ports and airports; Celso Sabino (União-PA), from Tourism; and Luiz Marinho (PT-SP), from work.
