The Minister of Integration and Regional Development, Waldez Góes, went to the National Congress on Saturday morning (1st) to accompany the elections for the Presidencies of Legislative Houses.
In an interview with journalists, Góes said he was to honor David Alcolumbre (União Brasil) – which is the main quoted for the Senate presidency.
According to him, those who occupy the chair should value the dialogue and defense of democracy, as well as act as a mediator: “David arrives even more prepared for it,” he said.
Unlike other ministers in Congress, Waldez Góes has no mandate as a congressman and does not vote in the elections.
