The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) and the Federal Police (PF) intercepted, on Sunday (2), an aircraft that entered clandestinely in the Brazilian airspace from Peru.
The action took place in Amazonas, under the coordination of the Aerospace Operations Command (Comae), and resulted in the seizure of approximately 500 kg of skunk.
The “supermanonha”, as the seized drug is known, produces more powerful and harmful effects on the brain than traditional marijuana.
The plane, model EMB-810 Seneca, was detected by radars of the Brazilian Aerospace Defense System (Sisdabra) and accompanied by FAB aircraft.
The pilot, however, performed a forced landing on a dirt track about 80 km from Manaus, colliding with trees.
After landing, the occupants set on fire and fled. The action is part of Operation Ostium, which seeks to reinforce the fight against trafficking on the border.
