Department of Justice applies detailed questionnaire to clarify conduct of agents during the event

The United States Department of Justice is investigating the conduct of agents in relation to the attack on the capitol on January 6, 2021. The investigation, which began on Monday (3.FEV.2025), includes the application of a detailed questionnaire to thousands of agents about their actions during the event investigations.

The effort occurs amid a restructuring in the department, which has already led to the resignation of approximately 30 prosecutors linked to the case. A 12 -question questionnaire aims to understand agents’ involvement in various stages of the investigation, from surveillance to witness interviews.

The questionnaire requires details about the role of the agents in the investigations, including arrests, led operations, witnessed in trials, or were designated as case agents. In addition, he questions the participation in surveillance, discovery efforts, procedures of the great jury, witness interviews or subpoena review.

The FBI agent association expressed concern about the questionnaire, suggesting that agents consult their supervisors before answering.
