PERFORMANCE
The performance index of small industries fell from 47.5 points to 46.8 points from 3rd to 4th quarter. The score is calculated from a weighted average between production volume, number of employees and the use of effective installed capacity compared to the usual.
Even with the drop in the score, CNI states that the result is positive because it is above the historical average (44 points) and the brand obtained in the 4th trimester of 2023, 45.9 points.
Concerns
In the view of 34.7% of small industries, high interest rates are the main problem. The item is followed by the high tax burden (33.9%). In 3rd, appears unfair competition, such as informality and smuggling (23.7%).
For 39.9% of small transformation industries, the high tax burden is the biggest problem. The absence or high cost of qualified worker comes in 2, with 26.9%.
