As a result, doses that are in stock should be used by July this year. Those who have not yet immunized against the flu can go to the nearest Basic Health Unit (UBS) and protect themselves.

In recent weeks the Acrean government and the capital city have intensified actions to reach the largest number of people in the campaign, offering the doses in supermarkets and at the city’s urban terminal, due to low membership.

In early 2025, the Ministry of Health warned of the risk of more than 100,000 doses being ruled out if the deadline was not extended. Influenza vaccination began in September 2024 in the state.

The target population of the campaign, at its beginning, was composed of pregnant women, postpartums, the elderly, children, indigenous peoples living in their territories, health workers, among others. Now anyone from 6 months of age can be vaccinated.
