A Russian missile apparently out of control that went to Ukraine hit Russian territory last Saturday, causing a great explosion, as reported by the media which emphasizes that this incident has caused great shame for the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, in his war against Ukraine.
The misguided missile, which is believed to be a KH-22 or a KH-32, was caught in a video of the dashboard camera of a car falling and hitting the ground in the Russian region of Lipetsk, about 500 kilometers from the area where the war unleashed by Putin is developing in February 2022.
The explosion left a large crater and it is believed that it was the cause of an electricity cut that left 540 homes. The failed cruise missile is an expensive error for Russia, since the KH-22 costs around 1,200,000 euros, while the most sophisticated KH-32 is valued at more than four million euros.
Lipetsk’s regional government, loyal to Putin, said the explosion was the result of a “spent season of an aviation missile system” -or non -operational remains -but other sources have dismissed this evaluation. According to the British media, they argued that the form of the missile was clearly visible and that an exhausted station would not cause such a massive explosion.
According to the Ukrainian media Unn, on February 1 in the morning, the inhabitants of a village of the Ylets district heard a strong rumble, after which they ran out of electricity or water. In the countryside, the neighbors saw a huge crater and thought it was an enemy missile or an unmanned aerial vehicle. No deaths or wounded in the explosion were reported, although some material damages have been produced, according to a statement.
