The car inside will be like new. This is how you can clean the car and take care of a pleasant smell without spending a fortune
Cleaning the car is no different from cleaning at home. In both cases, regularity counts. If we take care of the interior of the car and systematically vacuum it and remove fresh dirt, you will not need to help professionals. In addition to dirt from mud, food, sweat or animal hair, you also need to deal with an unpleasant smell that deposits inside the car. Fortunately, there are home remedies. However, before we start cleaning the upholstery, the car needs to be vacuumed well. When it is behind us, we start upholstery. One of the easiest ways to clean and refresh the car upholstery at home is to use baking soda. Just scatter it in the car and leave it for a few hours. Preferably at night. Then vacuum the car. Such a procedure will make the car clean and fresh. Soda will also consume an unpleasant smell that has previously penetrated the upholstery. In addition, it is also worth mixing lemon juice with water and after vacuuming spray the inside of the car. Then get on the cockpit. Mix water with dishwashing liquid and gently wipe the surfaces with a soft cloth. Finally, wash the windows, you can use window liquid or water with vinegar.
Home methods of cleaning the interior of the car
Carrying car upholstery in home methods must be carried out very carefully. It is best to check the effect of the preparation on a scrap of material, in a very visible place. It is also better not to rub the surface too intensively. Apply cleaning agents gently using a moistened sponge or cloth. Sometimes, however, a dry brush will be useful. It all depends on the stains removed. If we want to clean dirt from coffee, tea, milk or vomit, mixed vinegar with water will be useful. We moisten the cloth with such a mixture and wipe the stains. Fat stains, e.g. after mayonnaise from hot dogs or butter from a sandwich, can be removed with a talc. Just scatter it to dirt, leave it for 20 minutes, and then collect the powder with a vacuum cleaner. One of the universal cleaning agents is dishwashing liquid. Diluted with water will remove most spots, but after drying, stains may appear. That is why it is important to remove the entire preparation from the material.
How to clean the leather upholstery in the car
If we want to clean the leather upholstery at home, we can use gray soap. It has a neutral pH and it will effectively remove dirt. You can also use vinegar in the proportions: a glass for two liters of water. However, before we use such a mixture, it is worth checking in a very visible place how the material will react. It may turn out that the vinegar will discolor the upholstery. Soda baking with a small amount of water will also deal with serious dirt. However, you have to be careful here – you can scratch upholstery. Regardless of what preparations we use, you must also remember not to use too much water. Excess fluid will soak into the material and stains will appear. In addition, after cleaning, you need to use skin care. Instead of professional preparations, you can use a moisturizing body lotion or hand cream with glycerin.
Natural smell for the car
The best smell for a car is one that does not overwhelm us with its presence. Just like with perfumes that can cause a headache if they are too intense. When choosing a smell for a car, it is worth guided by the principles of aromatherapy. Some aromas have a stimulating effect, others sleeping or relaxing, but there are also those that improve concentration and they are the best for the car, especially if we’re going on a long journey. The best choice will be the aroma of citrus, which improves concentration and helps to keep vitality. To prepare a homemade car freshener, we can use lemon peel, a few dried branches of rosemary, lemon essential oil and linseed or cotton bag. The latter can also be replaced by tulle, if, for example, he was after a purchase of a freshener, in which there were fragrance balls. Put dried lemon zest and rosemary in a bag. We add a drop of essential oil, tie a bag and place in the car. If the smell is not intensive, we can add more oil. Regardless of the freshener, it is also worth remembering that it is largely the smell of the car in the car. That is why it is worth cleaning them thoroughly, instead of masking the ford.
