Trucker is arrested with 500 kg of cocaine hidden in popcorn load

The Federal Highway Police (PRF) and Federal Police (PF) arrested for interstate drug trafficking Driver of a truck carrying more than half a ton of cocaine. The approach, made by the PRF, was this Sunday (2), at kilometer 143 of BR-155, municipality of Sapucaia (PA).

On the highway, the agents identified a truck at high speed and decided to supervise it. THE vehicle carried a load of popcorn cornoriginated in Novo do Parecis (MT) and destined for Barcarena (PA). In the cargo inspection were found, hidden, boxes with cocaine.

The amount was 470 cocaine tablets, weighing approximately 1.1 kg of the drug each.

The driver was arrested and sent, along with the drug seized, to the Federal Police in Marabá (PA), to perform the appropriate procedures for drug trafficking.

The vehicle was seized and the PF will represent for its loss and the destruction of the drug. Police are investigating the destination of the entire drug in Pará, whether to any criminal faction or if it would be distributed in sectors of the cities.
