The works of the Vila Real de Santo António Park skateboarding are still underway and are progressing as expected. With an investment of about 93,000 euros, this new infrastructure, located in the city’s sports complex, aims to assert itself as a reference space for the practice of urban sports.
The equipment will feature a quarter, a pyramid, a sloping wall, a bank, a railing and a curb, ensuring the ideal conditions for skateboarding, BMX and skates. The project is designed to host athletes of various levels, ensuring a modern, safe and inclusive environment and promoting urban sports.
This initiative represents a strategic investment in the area of youth and sport, reinforcing the commitment to the creation of infrastructures that promote active and healthy lifestyles.
The first stone of Skate Park was launched on August 12, 2024, on International Youth Day, marking the beginning of a long -awaited project by the local community.
The new infrastructure is part of the municipal strategy of valuing public spaces and encouraging the practice of sports.
