Sérgio Oliveira was born in Paços de Brandão, Aveiro district, Portugal. Graduated at the base of FC Porto, he professionalized at the club in the 2009/2010 season.
In the early years of his career, the defender went through different clubs on loan, such as KV Mechelen, from Belgium, Penafiel and Paços de Ferreira, until returning to Porto in 2015.
In the second pass, he made 20 games, three goals and three assists. Despite the good performance, he was loaned to Paok, from Greece, with 15 games and three goals.
