A shooting has caused about 10 dead on an educational center in the city of Örebro on Tuesday, about 200 kilometers west Stockholm, as confirmed by the police. The attack, which occurred shortly after noon, also leaves an indeterminate number of injured, although no minor has been hospitalized. The bodies of all the deceased were inside the complex, large.
Police investigate the attack as “an attempt at murder, a caused fire and a crime of weapons with aggravating ones.” And he suspects that the person who has perpetrated the killing, who acted alone and who for now is unknown his identity, is among the deceased. María Piado, a school teacher where the attack has occurred, has described how shortly after lunch pause a person entered his class and ordered all those present to leave the place. “I took with me to the hall to my 15 students and we started running,” he said on the phone. “Then I heard two shots, but we were out, near the entrance of the school. When I saw how they dragged the injured, I realized the seriousness of what happened. ”
The authorities, which have recommended that the population not approach the educational center, have enabled a point of information for families and relatives. They have also ordered students from other nearby schools who do not leave, as a precautionary measure.
