To apply for FIES vacancies, you must have provided the (National High School Exam) in any of its editions from 2010 to the latest. In addition, the candidate must have obtained at least 450 points on the arithmetic average of the 5 test notes, and the note in the writing test needs to be greater than zero. The registration of those who declared to have participated in Enem as a “coach” is prohibited.
FIES Social reserves 50% of places for students with family income per person of up to half a minimum wage and registered in the (Single Registry for Federal Government social programs) in assets. In the case of pre-selected ones that meet the rules of the social FIES, the contracting of financing is full, covering up to 100% of educational charges.

Then, the candidate must choose the 3 desired courses, selecting the state, municipality, course and the intended educational institution. It will be possible to repeat this action twice more, listing the priority order between the chosen options. Then, the candidate is enough to fill in his financial data and those of his family and, finally, to review all the information. If it’s all right, you must confirm the registration and then save the proof of registration with the security key.
The classification in the FIES selection process in the 1st semester of 2025 will be carried out according to the decreasing order of the grades obtained by the candidates in Enem, by type of vacancy, preference group and competition modality. The prioritization order will be:
- candidates who have not completed higher education and have not benefited from student funding;
- candidates who have not completed higher education benefited from student funding and paid it;
- candidates who have already completed higher education and have not benefited from student funding;
- Candidates who have already completed higher education benefited from student funding and paid it.
The FIES selection process will have a single call and waiting list. The result of pre-selection in the single call will be released on February 18. The candidate will be pre-selected in only one of his course/shift options/place of offer/Higher Education Institution made at the registration, according to the type of vacancy and the competition modality. Pre-selected students must access Fies Selection to complement their registration from 19 to 21 February.
Students who have not been pre-selected in the regular call will automatically participate in the waiting list, which will observe the same classification order of the regular call and will be used to fill the vacancies eventually not occupied. The call period through the waiting list will be from February 25 to April 9.
