British group expands operations with acquisition of golf course in the Algarve

The Authority of Competition (ADC) did not oppose the purchase of Mount Rei Golf & Country Club by the luxembourgue II, noting that this operation is not likely to create significant obstacles to the competition.

“The Board of Directors of the Competition Authority […] It deliberates to adopt a decision not opposed to the concentration operation ”, reads the information this Monday by ADC.

In January, the luxembourgue society Ama II, which is part of, notified ADC about the intention to acquire the control of the brands that make up the Monte Rei Golf & Country Club business.

The Acid II is a Luxembourg society that is part of the Arrow Group whose activities in Portugal correspond to the management of overdue credit and real estate investments, and also operates in the area of ​​tourist accommodation in the Algarve and Madeira regions, and golf fields, Algarve and Lisbon.

The companies targeted with this acquisition are detained by a set of seven societies that operate in the tourist sector under the Monte Rei Golf & Country Club brand, and they are dedicated to the exploitation and management of a set of enterprises in the Algarve region.
