Two CNJ Resolutions (No. 34/2007 and No. 226/2016) prohibit magistrates to perform coaching activities, overexposure or association with brands, even if they are removed from office.

“Bretas maintains a strong presence on social networks, where he accumulates more than 500,000 followers, and promotes paid courses for personal development and leadership for values ​​that reach R$ 2.497. In addition, it provides exclusive content through annual signature and manages a team aimed at its operations in this market ”says the OAB.

The complaint was referred to the National Corregedor of Justice, Minister Mauro Campbell.

The OAB-RJ document recalls that the CNJ has already determined the suspension of the profile of a magistrate linked to the TRF-2 (Federal Court of the 2nd Region) by “Signs of self -promotion and overexposure of the judge and coaching activity”.

The organ requires:

  • the establishment of a disciplinary administrative proceeding to investigate possible violations of Bretas;
  • the precautionary suspension of Bretas profiles on social networks; and
  • the precautionary removal of Bretas from its functions.

The complaint was referred to the National Corregedor of Justice, Minister Mauro Campbell. She is signed by OAB-RJ Attorney General, Marcos Luiz Oliveira de Sousa, and Deputy Attorney General, Thiago Gomes Morani.
