Petrobras is looking very seriously to biofuels and ethanol, said the president of the oil company, Magda Chambriard, during an event in Rio de Janeiro, reinforcing indication of the company’s investment plan.
“Ethanol will be a reality, biodiesel will be a reality,” said Chambriard.
Petrobras plans investments of about US $ 2.2 billion in a set of ethanol distilleries, marking its reentry in the biofuel segment, according to the presentation at the end of last year.
She also said that “a lot” will happen in the area of refining and energy transition in the company in 2025.
