At the age of 63, former Slovak hockey player Karol Ondreička suddenly died. Referring to his relatives on the social network, he informed the HC Slovan Bratislava club, for which he played several seasons.
The bred of Banská Bystrica hockey came to Slovan as a 21-year-old and in the 1980s played for almost 10 seasons. In the federal league he also played for Dukla Trenčín. After leaving Slovan, he tried the second highest competition in Zvolen jersey in the 1992/1993 season.
At the end he headed to the Finnish club Heki, but from the next season he returned to Slovakia. In the jersey Martin then played three seasons in the Slovak Extraliga, he concluded his career with four seasons in the Banská Bystrica jersey.
