The soil liming treatment on the pitch must be performed when the pH is less than 5.5, because too sour ground can disturb the proper development of grass. However, if this reaction oscillates around 6-7, there is no point in doing it. It is an ideal range.

The best time to perform the procedure is at the end of winter or early spring. The recommended soil liming date is therefore the turn of February and March, even before intensive grass growth to be able to distribute the product evenly.
Soil liming can also be carried out in autumn – at the turn of September and November. Gardeners who prefer this date also choose it due to protection against low temperatures.

When liming the soil, follow the manufacturer’s recommendations, which should determine the dose and method of applying fertilizer (usually about 10-15 kg per 100 square m).
Do not overdo it with the amount of product, because it can do more damage than the benefits. Spread the lime evenly, make a light raking and water the lawn so that the lime penetrates the soil faster.
