The National Police arrested two minors in the afternoon of this Sunday as an alleged author and co -author, respectively, of the death of another 16 -year -old boy, who died stabbed on Saturday night in Córdoba. Both were available to the Minors Prosecutor’s Office, which last Monday afternoon proposed as a precautionary measure the main involved in closed center of a therapeutic nature, as sources from the Public Ministry have informed this newspaper.
The arrest of the main suspect was carried out around 20.30 on Sunday. He would be, according to police investigations, who stabbed a child under 16 on Saturday. Shortly after, another young man was arrested, as co -author, having been present during the brawl that ended the life of the boy, the sources consulted indicate.
The main involved was interrogated by the minors prosecutor at 16.30, who in the late afternoon proposed for him as a precautionary measure to the minor involved internment in a closed center of a therapeutic nature, a measure that the minors judge must now ratify.
The events occurred on Saturday night, around 22.30, in El Arenal, the area where the fairgrounds are located and that is usually one of the places where young people make bottles. The victim was with other friends celebrating a birthday, when the detainees approached asking if they could give them some alcohol. Before their refusal, both reacted aggressively and began an altercation that ended in a persecution and subsequent stabbing of the child.
When the emergency teams and the police arrived in the area, they found the boy with a belly wound and transferred him to the Reina Sofía hospital, where he died. The white weapon with which it was stabbed has not yet been located.
Thanks to the statements of the witnesses and friends of the victim, the researchers were able to identify from the first moment the alleged authors, until they found their location and proceeded to the arrest at the last minute of last Sunday.
The parents of the deceased are dismayed, as well as the colleagues of the educational center where I went to class, the IES Averroes, which this morning, together with the rest of the Cordoba educational community, has kept a minute of silence.
