Do not do this with a monster, because yellow liters and brown spots will appear in a flash. Here’s what Monster doesn’t like

Yellow Monstera leaves are the most common result of inappropriate watering of the plant. In summer, it is enough to hydrate it once a week, in winter every two weeks. Excessive watering causes yellowing and browning of the leaves. However, we do not forget about spraying. Every two months, from spring to autumn, we water the flower with a special fertilizer for green plants. However, when Monstera rolls the leaves, it is a signal for us that the flower needs water. Although it may seem to us that we water the plant according to the rules, we must remember that, for example, in autumn and winter the air in the apartment changes. It becomes more dry, and Monstera in nature grows in a tropical climate. Therefore, in addition to standard watering, it is good to sprinkle it with soft water, twice a week. Once in a moment you also need to grate dust from the leaves.

What does Monster like? Position and land

Monstera will be best growing in the ground with the addition of peat. The soil must be permeable. The pot is worth putting out with a little expanded clay. Monster must be exaggerated once a year, in spring. For older plants, it is enough to replace the upper layer of soil. Monster’s setting is also important. He doesn’t like direct sunlight. In turn, when the sun is not enough, it does not grow and prisoners. It is also sensitive to drafts, so let’s not put the pot with a tilting window. The optimal temperature for Monstera is 23 degrees C in summer and 15 in winter. At higher temperatures, spraying monster is necessary.

How to fertilize monster? Homemade conditioner

The best monster conditioner is one that contains valuable nutrients, i.e. nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and magnesium. In garden stores you can buy special preparations with which we will supply the plant. However, if we want to prepare a homemade fertilizer for Monster, we can use the banana skin, which will serve as a source of phosphorus and potassium. Just crush them and bury them around Monster. As the decomposes, they will release potassium and other microelements that support the overall health of plants. Another homemade fertilizer that will support the growth of Monster, we will do using Epsom salt. It is available in every pharmacy. It contains a lot of magnesium that will support the proper development of Monster. One teaspoon (for tea) of salt is enough to dissolve in one liter of water. We water the monster once a month with such a mixture. Magnesium contained in the preparation improves plant vitality and photosynthesis.
