Federal Deputy wants to chair the Foreign Relations Commission; Lindbergh Farias (PT-RJ) claimed to want to block the PL
The federal deputy, (PL-SP) spoke again of his interest in presiding over the (Foreign Relations and National Defense Commission) this 3rd (4.Fev.2025). Stated that the PT leader, (RJ), should worry about government problems (PT), after the congressman claims that he wants to block the PL of the commission.
“If Lindbergh Farias makes so much of Credn, that he in the next election makes a larger bench, the PT becomes the largest party in the house and he can claim the committees he understands so,” Said the deputy, leaving the meeting of the PL bench, held this afternoon.

The PL is the largest bench in the House of Representatives, with 99 congressmen. For this reason, the party has priority in commissions requests.
The party is interested in foreign relations, but also wants to stay in the Education Commission, today with (PL-MG) in the presidency.
On Monday (3.FEV), Lindbergh that, despite the priority of the PL, the PT will try to block the right acronym in some commissions.
He quoted foreign relations. “This is such an important theme that it has such an important institutional role that it cannot be a platform of the far right”declared the petista. The PT also wants the presidency of the Education Commission.
PL interests
The PL wants to request 6 commissions and does not rule out the CCJ (Constitution and Justice Commission). In the House, there is an agreement since the management of (PP-AL) that each year the board is chaired by a different party.
In 2024, the time was from PL, with the deputy (SC). This year, the commission should be with União Brasil or MDB. It will depend on which of the acronyms will be with the rapporteur of LOA (annual budget law).
