A discussion between neighbors, motivated by death threats, mobilized the Military Police and resulted in the seizure of more than 60 exotic wild animals in the Virginia Park sector in Aparecida de Goiânia last Monday (3).
According to the Military Police, agents were fired by a man who claimed to be threatened with death by a neighbor.
Upon arriving at the scene, the team was informed about what happened and searched, but the author of the threats had already fled.
During the investigation, the police team found several species of wild animals being created in captivity in the property of one of the neighbors.
Given the situation, the Fire Department and the Environmental Police were called to rescue the animals, which showed signs of abuse.
Were seized:
- 9 Jabutis-Piranga;
- 10 water turtles;
- 3 African-pigmeu-hears;
- 2 Pínons-Real Albina;
- 3 Pogona-branched dragons;
- 3 leopard lizards;
- 1 green juices;
- 30 redwater bucks.
The animals were sent to the Ibama Wildlife Screening Center (Cetas) in Goiânia, where they will be evaluated and will receive the necessary veterinary care.
After the rescue of the animals, the man he had fled returned to the scene, appearing to be disoriented. He was referred to the Flamboyant UPA by Samu.
The head of the animals was assessed in articles 29 and 32 of Law 9.605/98 (crimes against fauna) and article 147 of the Penal Code (threat).
