Acre congressman intends to dispute the reelection for former President Jair Bolsonaro’s acronym
The senator (AC) is about to leave União Brasil. The congressman intends to dispute the reelection of the Senate by the PL (Liberal Party), acronym of former President Jair Bolsonaro.
In late 2024, Bittar said Bolsonaro about his intention to change party. Fábio Rueda, from União Brasil, had asked the senator, however, to maintain his affiliation until the election of (Brazil-AP Union) for the presidency of the Senate.
“Now that’s when Bolsonaro wants to. The time he finds convenient, I go to the PL”, Bittar told the Poder360.
In Rio Branco (AC), the Acre Senator acted along with the Rueda brothers to reelect the mayor (PL), who had left the PP (Progressive Party) in the 2024 municipal elections.
Senator played directly to bring Bocalom to the PL-Son Son, João Paulo Bittar, is president of the party in Rio Branco, and his ex-wife (PL-AC) was candidate for the Senate for the acronym in 2022.
Elected in 2018, Bittar was the 2021 budget rapporteur.
