Several Brussels subway stations are closed after incident with shots

Several subway stations in Brussels were closed on Wednesday (5) after shooting at Clemenceau Central Station, the Belgian prosecutor said.

There was no record of injuries, he added.

The suspects fled to the subway tunnels after the incident with fire, a source near the investigation said, adding that police were looking for two suspects.

Sources near the investigation told local media that the incident may be related to drugs.

Images on the VRT website showed two people entering the station and opening fire. The images could not be verified immediately by Reuters.
