The announcement also states that engineers expect to pull out all the larger parts of the plane from the river near Ronald Reagan Airport. Subsequently, the crane will be pulled by the debris of the helicopter. According to previous reports, more than 300 workers participated in the operation.

The American Airlines aircraft with 64 people on board and the Black Hawk helicopter with three persons collided on January 29. A traffic machine flying from Wichita, Kansas, was about to land at Reagan Airport, a military helicopter was in the area on the training summer.

It is the most serious air crash in the United States since November 2001. The sequence of the events that passed the tragedy is not yet clear. According to AP, the investigation could take about a year, but the preliminary report could be completed within a month. US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth on Wednesday for Fox News said that there was a “height problem with a helicopter with a helicopter”.

Investigators have so far found that the aircraft was approximately 91 meters with a deviation of 7.6 meters at a collision time. This would mean that a military helicopter exceeded a maximum height of 61 meters set for the route he used.
