The recreational fishing boat that sank in April 2024, near Troia, in the municipality of Grândola, was accused by the Public Prosecution Service (MP) of four negligence homicide crimes, was announced this Thursday.
In a statement published on the Internet of the Évora Regional Attorney General’s Office, the MP revealed that prosecution was deducted against the boat of the boat for the practice of four negligence homicide crimes.

At the time of the claim, the observer newspaper reported that the boat was “registered in Poland and did not receive ‘surveys’ from the Portuguese authorities.”
The vessel “was not controlled by the Portuguese authorities, and it was not possible to know the safety equipment” that were on board, according to the same newspaper.
According to the MP’s note, the judicial inquiry into the case was directed by the grant section of Setúbal’s Department of Investigation and Criminal Action (DIAP), with the support of the Setúbal Maritime Police.
