Members of the Hospital Administrative Board resigned to the positions to avoid being an “obstacle” to guardianship.
This Thursday, the members of the Board of Directors of the local Amadora-Sintra Health Unit presented the resignation.
“This decision will allow protection to implement the measures and policies that it considers necessary, and this board is not obstacle“It reads in the statement to which it had access to it.
It was therefore written that “they presented their excellence, the Minister of Health and the Executive Director of the National Health Service, the waiver of positions”.
The decision occurs one day after the Hospital Administrative Council met with the Minister of Health, Ana Paula Martins, after, Hugo Martins, this week.
The hospital’s former emergency director said, on the way out, that the board of directors would remain, as it kept “the ability to work.”
However, that’s not how it happened. The Order of Doctors even defended the closure of the emergency service From ULS after the dismissal of Hugo Martins, for this service does not gather the necessary conditions to remain active.
This month the hospital has reached record waiting times, with urgent patients until they were seen by a doctor.
