André Rosinha Trio operates next Saturday, February 8, in Republic 14, in Olhão, with two concerts scheduled for 19:00 and 21:30.
André Rosinha, double bassist and composer, already has three albums edited in his own name and has collaborated with several musical projects. As a freelance musician, it integrates renowned groups, including Salvador Sobral, Júlio Resende, João Barradas and Samuel Learchher Trio, among others.
The trio that leads explores new musical experiences, combining the language of jazz with influences of traditional Portuguese music, folk and classical music. In this concert in Olhão, the group features its latest album, “Raiz”, a album that further deepens the fusion between jazz and Portuguese music.
With André Rosinha on the double bass will be João Paulo Esteves da Silva on the piano and Marcos Cavaleiro on the drums.
João Paulo Esteves da Silva is one of the most respected Portuguese musicians, known for the way he integrates tradition and innovation, crossing influences of jazz and classical music.
The drummer Marcos Cavaleiro has already collaborated with figures such as Lee Konitz, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Maria João and Mário Laginha, as well as being a professor in the Jazz Jazz Professional Course of the Jazz Conservatory and Masters of Jazz at the University of Aveiro.
Reservations for 19:00 are made and for 21:30.
