Ministers use the new items in judgments of this Thursday (6.FEV); The President of the Court plays on “New Department Fashion”
The Ministers of the Supreme Court (STF) appeared at the plenary session of this Thursday (6.FEV.2025) using a tie with the symbol of the court. According to the president, Roberto Barroso, the item will be used to return gifts from visitors to the Supreme. Minister Cármen Lúcia wore a handkerchief.
Before the beginning of the session, Barroso announced the launch of the prop and joked about the existence of a “Fashion Department” in court.

“I just make a record. And it won’t go unnoticed. The new ‘STF Fashion’ department has launched a Supreme Court tie, like the one we are all wearing. And for women, a beautiful handkerchief, like the one with Minister Cármen Lúcia. The real reason for this is that we receive many visits or visit places where people give us gifts. And therefore it was a way that we found kind to repay any gifts we received with a tie that has the Supreme Court symbol. And that, modesty, was very cute ”declared before the beginning of the session.
