The Rotary Club of Faro celebrates the 120th anniversary of Rotary Internacional with a special concert of the Algarve orchestra and pianist Rem Urasin. The event, which has the support of the Faro City Council and the Theater of Figures, will take place on February 16, at 18:00, at the Figures Theater, in Faro.
This solidarity initiative aims to raise funds for projects supported by Rotary, reaffirming the organization’s commitment to the transformation of lives through global health, education and community development programs.
The concert will be highlighted by the performance of Rem Urasin, an international renowned pianist recognized for his interpretation of Chopin’s complete work. The program also includes the romantic piece Kamarinskaya, fantasy about two traditional Russian songsby Mikhail Glinka, and the national debut of Symphony No1 Modernist composer Elliott Carter, a visionary figure of the twentieth century. The night will be conducted by conductor Pablo Urbina, providing the public a unique experience that unites musical excellence with commitment to solidarity.
Tickets are available for 12 € (1st audience) and 10 € (2nd audience) and can be purchased through the site. The event is organized by the Rotary Club of Faro and promises to be a memorable moment, where art and social responsibility are side by side.
